Budokon is a hybrid movement practice that feels like poetry in motion: fluid, intentional, and deeply expressive. Rooted in the integration of yoga asana, martial arts, and animal locomotion, Budokon invites practitioners into a continuous flow where strength, mobility, balance, and awareness meet.
In this two-hour seminar, we will explore movement through the philosophical lens of the Bhagavad Gita, one of yoga’s most influential texts. The Gita tells the story of the warrior Arjuna standing at the edge of a battlefield, facing an internal conflict that reflects the universal human experience: doubt, duty, fear, purpose, and ultimately clarity.
In practice, elements of yoga asana are woven together with martial arts inspired transitions and circular locomotion patterns, creating a practice that feels both powerful and meditative. The physical practice becomes a form of storytelling, an exploration of tension and release, discipline and surrender, action and reflection.
Expect a practice that is both physically engaging and philosophically rich. This workshop is open to curious movers of all backgrounds who want to explore a creative and expressive approach to practice.
