About

Join Mike for a weekend course in the fundamentals of Ashtanga Yoga, the practice that has transformed so many of our lives for the better! No prior experience in Ashtanga or Yoga in general required. This course will set you up with a personal daily practice that can continue to grow with you!

Ashtanga is a powerful Yoga style that hails from Mysore, India, a system equally admired for its emphasis on breath control, adaptability to all ages and abilities, and beautifully choreographed movements that can open and align the body and mind. This practice is designed for householders (those with busy lives) and balances the necessity for a time-efficient movement practice with mindfulness and breathing practice (pranayama).

This course will provide you with everything you need to get started in a regular practice, including:

  • Simple principles to help you confidently develop your practice
  • Safety considerations and pain-free progressions.
  • Understand the relationships between all postures.
  • Overview of the Ashtanga system as a philosophy with historical context
  • Practice manual that covers a complete beginner practice.

Includes a two-week unlimited practice pass at the studio where you can immerse yourself in our community, try a variety of instructors and practice Mysore style.
