About

Are you curious about how to do chakrasana?

Then this workshop is for you! In Astanga, chakrasana is a transitional movement, rolling backwards from supine poses (lying down) into chaturanga dandasana (low plank) or downward dog.

In this workshop, we will:

  • Dive into the mechanics of this transitional movement
  • Practice drills to gain the flexibility and strength needed for chakrasana
  • Explore Astanga primary series poses that can help prepare you for trying chakrasana
  • For those new to chakrasana, look at options to safely work towards the movement

By the end of the workshop, you will take away helpful techniques and cues so that you can feel more confident incorporating chakrasana (or a modification) into your practice.

Beginners are welcome, even if you don’t think you’re ready to do the pose. Guidance will be tailored to meet you where you are in your practice.
